Tomorrow (Sunday) I am leading a Kundalini Yoga class to raise money for a wonderful non-profit organization called Y.O.G.A for Youth. Based in California, though active in other states as well, Y.O.G.A. for Youth teaches yoga and meditation techniques to at-risk and incarcerated youth. It is run by a truly amazing yogini named Krishna Kaur who’s been a practicing Kundalini Yogi for 40 some years and it shows! She is one gorgeously radiant and healthy 70 year old woman!! I am really impressed by her organization. Kundalini Yoga is a powerful and profound tool with which one can gain great self-awareness, self-control and discipline. It is an incredibly empowering and faith-building practice, speaking from my personal experience. What better tools to give disillusioned, misled, troubled kids?!
To learn more about this fantastic organization check out their website!
My class will be held at Studio 206 in beautiful downtown Charlottesville from 3 to 4:15 Sunday afternoon.
No previous yoga experience is necessary and all donations are welcomed! No donation is too small.
Come check it out. We will dance, stretch, chant, move and meditate together – all for a great cause!
