A Quick Jaunt to the Mountains

Just back now to Boulder after a very fun and restful gettaway to visit my sister in Aspen.

We practiced Kundalini Yoga with our teachers Dan and Sue on Saturday.  We did the 2.5 hour meditation together and it was stellar. Just what I needed.

There’s not a lot of snow in the mountains right now so we ended up hiking and enjoying the sunshine. It was lovely, but I really do hope it snows a bunch before we head back up there in a few weeks to ski for the holidays.

We took a quick break to steam in the Yampah Vapor Caves. Totally magical. Best way to start a Monday ever!

Super tasty meal shared with my sis and brother-in-law and Thaddeus too at Gisella. This collection of marinated vegetables with local goat cheese was especially delectable.

We attempted to hold our breath through Eisenhower tunnel, but failed. Obviously we need to practice more pranayama!

We chilled out on Saturday afternoon by watching “Aspen Extreme” for the gazillionth time ever! I swear it gets better every time we watch it. 🙂

I sure do love hiking with my sweetie. Can you believe I’m wearing a tank top on December 2nd? Crazy talk!

Snowmass Mountain. Only 6 runs are actually open. Yikes!
